What Class 4 time covers

Time is the one measurement system that is not base ten, which is exactly why children find it hard. Questions cover reading a clock face, converting hours to minutes, and finding durations that cross an hour boundary.

Learning objectives

  • Read the time from an analogue clock face
  • Convert between hours, minutes and seconds
  • Calculate a duration between two times
  • Add a duration to a start time across the hour
